Myth: removing spots causes scars
The moment every girl likes: seeing a spot on her loved one.
Your fingers are ready, you’re going to attack without warning. Well, we’re going to get him clean & more beautiful, right?
So atttaaaack …. Then you hear, “You’ll leave a scar!”
Excuse me, that’s a MYTH.
The only way you could cause scarring is if you use your fingernails or a sharp instrument. This could injure the deeper skin layer, where scars are created.
If you remove a spot, be very gentle otherwise you damage the skin surface and leave a red scratch for days – but not scars. This red skin must be protected from the sun (use zinc paste or sun cream). Why? Because the sun causes photo damage (e.g. brown pigment spot).
If an experienced beauty therapist treats/cleans acne regularly you will see no scars.

Have a facial!
Have you ever been to a beautician for a facial?
Or to a beauty spa? How many of us can get there twice a week?
Meeeeeeeeeee
Isn’t it wonderful being there and letting professionals spoil us. In my opinion everyone (who wants) should get a facial twice a month. Beauty facials may seem like a luxury that is way down the to-do list. What do you think?
What is the benefit of doing it regularly?
- Nourish our soul
- Relax
- Rejuvenate & nourish our skin
- Care for our skin before it gets wrinkled & dry like a prune – then it will cost real time & money to un-prune us
Do you exercise? You must know how you feel/look when you don’t stay active. So it is with our skin. You can tell who looks after themselves, & who doesn’t. Of course it’s our choice. But think a bit ahead: what you do today will give you results later.

DIY facial
Here’s how to do a beauty facial at home.
You will need a mask product. See my video ‘Yummy beauty recipes’ for a simple home-made scrub (exfoliating) and masks .
- Exfoliate: think of deeper cleaning, where you get rid of dead cells
- Soften up your skin: apply a warm compress. Soak a small face towel in warm water, wring out excess water. Press moist towel into your face (fold the towel to leave a small space to breathe). Leave on your face for 10 seconds. Re-apply at least five times. Always freshly soak the towel in clean warm water.
- Massage time. It’s boring, but beneficial because you bring blood circulation to your skin, preparing it to absorb the mask.
- Paint on the mask and relax for while.
- Wash off the mask in lukewarm water. Now your skin is ready to absorb nourishment.
- Apply nourishing serum, moisturizer, oil – whatever your preference is.
- You are more beautiful than when you started
